For volunteers and advocates

A little help can make a big change

Training local community members as mental health advocates empowers them to support their peers and identify early signs of distress. Small actions, combined, change outcomes for whole communities.

Volunteers in a training workshop.

Become an AngelMind

Train as a trusted first human connection in your community: listening, basic mental health education, risk recognition and safe referral. Training is blended, assessed and supervised — and it is an organisational credential, not a clinical licence.

  • Blended cohorts
  • Observed practice
  • Supervision access

Volunteer with a country team

Support campaigns, community education, events, translation, service mapping and case follow-up. Every volunteer role has a defined scope, a named supervisor and an escalation route.

  • Defined scope
  • Named supervisor
  • Escalation route

Advocate and share

Carry the five messages into your school, workplace, faith community or feed. We provide culturally reviewed material so awareness always ends with a safe action rather than a dead end.

  • Reviewed material
  • Safe calls to action

Share your story

Lived experience changes what people believe is possible. Storytelling is voluntary, consent is separate from any support you receive, and you keep control over privacy, edits and withdrawal.

  • Informed consent
  • Right to withdraw
  • Post-publication support

Our commitment to you

Belonging, purpose and standards

We refuse to train volunteers without supervision and referral systems. If we cannot supervise a role safely, we will not create it.

  • Clear boundaries on what you may and may not do
  • Training, refreshers and time-limited active-status verification
  • A named supervisor and a documented escalation procedure
  • Safeguarding cover for you as well as for participants
  • Feedback on what your contribution actually changed
